Some jobs won't let you talk on a cell phone at work.  Sometimes it's for productivity and sometimes it's for safety, but in life, there are calls you HAVE TO TAKE.  For example, when you have a son overseas serving our country in the US Marines and he only calls once in a blue moon, because his unit got a hold of a SAT phone, you take the call.  And this Tennessee women did and got suspended for it.

Crane Interiors has a no cell phone use policy and suspended the women for three days with no pay.  Since then they changed their tune and are now paying her for her time off.

Danford tells WTVF-TV in Nashville that she knew about the company's cell phone policy. However, she says she didn't hesitate to answer the call at work because her son, Lance Cpl. Mark Ryhne, has access to a satellite phone only once a month. She says managers had threatened to fire her if she violated the policy again.

I highly doubt they will fire her though.  That would piss off way too many people.  I'm not saying she has them in the palm of their hand, but emergencies happen and not everything is always black and white.  I'd like to say thank you to Lance Cpl. Mark Ryhne and to everyone out there who serves this country.  If you call, I'll always answer.
