Here's a survival guide of do's and dont's we put together in case you're new to Trick or Treat on Bish's Street. If you're a regular, think of this as handy reminder.

If you're like most parents, you're always looking for a safe environment for the kids to enjoy Halloween. I suggest you try Trick or Treat on Bish's Street at the Fred Meyer parking lot in Twin Falls on October 31st. It's a safe and fun way to trick or treat and admission is free.

Here's a great list of do's and dont's that we put together for the event. Think of this as a Trick or Treat on Bish's Street Survival Guide.

DO: Be patient. At first, the line seems long but it moves quickly once the crowd starts moving.

DON'T: Take cuts. Nobody likes a line jumper.

DO: Bring a jacket. The event starts at 3:30pm but even on warm October day, it can start can start getting chilli as early at 4:00pm.

DON'T: Go to K-mart. The event has moved to the Fred Meyer Parking Lot.

DO: Go to the Fred Meyer parking lot. (See above)

DO: Bring your own trick or treat bag for your kids. They aren't provided at this event.

DON'T: Come late. In fact DO: Come a little early. The line shuts down at 6:00pm. As long as you're in line by 6:00pm, you'll get through.

DO: Bring a canned food item for admission. It's not mandatory but it's encouraged. All donated food items will go to South Central Community Action Partnership.

DON'T: Forget your manners. Be polite and courteous to others, business owners, and other parents during the event. Teach your kids to say "please" and "thank you" when receiving goodies.

DO: Take photos of yourself and your kids at the event and share them on our live updating Instagram photo gallery. Just tag your pics #TSMTOTS.

DON'T: Let your kids run off. There are literally hundreds of kids at Trick or Treat on Bish's Street. Don't let your kids run wild. Keep them with you.

DO: Thank the local businesses that support this event and hand out a ton of candy and goodies.

DON'T: Wear slutty looking or vulgar "adult" costumes. Now, I ain't judging but this is a family event so save that stuff for grown up parties, mmmkaaaay?

DO: Have fun! It's Halloween after all and this is a really fun event for the whole family.
