Parents in Twin Falls received phone calls this afternoon from the school superintendent Wiley Dobbs that a gun had accidentally been discharged at Robert Stuart Middle School. No one was injured and the gun was immediately turned over to officials. The student was taken into police custody. Most students were off campus when the shot was fired doing Helping Hands service outside the school property.

Officials believe the gun fire was accidental and there is no further threat to students or faculty.
