An Earthquake Just Happened North Of Boise
There has just been a relatively small earthquake north of Boise. According to the USGS, the quake was located around 20 km to the southwest of Cascade, Idaho.
The initial estimate is that this was a 2.6 quake, definitely not something that will cause any significant damage.
If you've never been to Cascade Lake, it's a great place to catch Yellow Perch.
The fact that I'm mentioning fish in this earthquake update lets you know how not serious it is. The 6.9 earthquake that happened near Borah Peak in 1983 has nothing to worry about - for now.
