Base Jumper Rescue Efforts at Perrine Bridge

Multiple Magic Valley area emergency crews are currently working to rescue a BASE jumper whose parachute is caught in the Perrine Bridge.

6:52pm Update:  We have unofficial reports that the jumper has been retrieved.  We do not yet know the condition of the base jumper.

Northbound traffic of US Highway 93 across the Perrine Bridge is blocked and is being diverted to one of the southbound lanes.

Traffic is congested in the area.  Idaho State Police is cautioning motorists to avoid this area if at all possible.
