If you have always wanted to be a Beekeeper, this is the perfect opportunity for you. I wouldn't be a great beekeeper...way to scary for me. However, I knew a bee keeper and saw his hive split. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.

This Saturday, May 7th from 10am to 4pm is Bee Day at Tubbs Berry Farm. If you have pre-ordered bees this is when you will need to pick them up.

The following beekeeping demonstrations and information will be available at the event:

  • Hive splitting
  • Using a smoker
  • Top bar hives
  • Wax processing
  • Growing plants and trees for bees
  • Feeding and feeders

Tubbs concession stand, bee store and petting zoo will also be open.
