BLAINE COUNTY, (KTVB) -- Teams searching for a 25-year-old man who did not return from a hike in Blaine County are hoping a whoever signed a peak log can shed some light on the missing hiker's disappearance. The note, signed "Cap'n Pete & Sparky," was left at the top of Phi Kappa Mountain, a 10,516-foot peak. It is dated Saturday, Sept. 12. Hailey resident Lucas Richardson, 25, was last seen that same day near the Summit Creek Trailhead.

He was reported missing Monday morning when he failed to show up for work. Blaine County Search and Rescue has been combing the remote area searching for Richardson.

Searchers are hoping whoever left the note in the peak log might have seen Richardson or have some information that could help rescue teams. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Blaine County Sheriff's Office at 208-788-5555.
