BRUNEAU, Idaho – The Bruneau Canyon Overlook, located about 24 miles south of Brunea on the east side of the Bruneau River, will open with a ceremony in early June.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. June 1.

The overlook “offers a dramatically improved area from which to take in the breathtaking vistas along the canyon rim, reads information from the Twin Falls District of the Bureau of Land Management. The site “also offers a variety of new amenities, including an ADA-accessible trail along the edge of the wilderness.”

The public is invited to the ceremony. Lunch will be provided, but the BLM asks that RSVPs be made by May 24. Contact Public Affairs Specialist Heather Tiel-Nelson at hnelson@blm.gov or 208-736-2352.
