BURLEY, Idaho (KLIX)- The Bureau of Land Management will begin closing several roads leading into the South Hills beginning January 16. The Burley Field Office says the closures will run from January 16 to March 15 on Dry Creek, Cherry Spring, Indian Springs and North Cottonwood Creek Roads. Closures begin a mile and a half from the Foothills Road. All motorized travel is prohibited on these roads excluding emergency and law enforcement agencies.

People with livestock in grazing areas are also permitted with permission from BLM. The closures are to prevent resource damage and to protect crusical mule deer winter range and sage-grouse habitat.
