Body Found Near Heyburn Pond

MINIDOKA COUNTY, Id. (KMVT/KSVT) Deputies from Minidoka County are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a male in that county.

Deputy Dan Kindig said a white male that appeared to be in his 60’s was found Sunday afternoon just before 6:00 p.m. A fisherman reported finding the corpse near the Hub 66 Pond near I-84 exit 268 near Heyburn.

While the name of the male has not been released as authorities notify next of kin, Deputy Kindig did say the man was from another state. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause of death. Authorities are not suspecting foul play at this time. It appears the man died earlier in the day.
