BOISE (KTVB) -- Officers are searching for a bank robbery suspect in the area of Orchard Street and Franklin Road in Boise.

Police say just after 9:30 a.m. a man reportedly walked into the Washington Federal at South Orchard and Alpine Streets and demanded cash. The suspect left on foot heading north on Orchard Street, according to police. A weapon was not displayed and no one was hurt.

The suspect is described as a man with darker skin and closely shaved hair wearing a pink button up shirt, dark blue jeans, and sunglasses. He may be carrying a small paper bag possibly from a fast food restaurant. He is believed to be about 5'10," 150 to 160 pounds, and around 28 to 30 years old.

Police say the robbery could be connected to the theft of a dark blue 2002 Jeep Liberty with Ada County plates. The Jeep was reported missing from a gas station near Franklin and Cole Roads just before the bank robbery occurred but has since been located. Police say the driver left the vehicle running at the gas station.

If anyone sees him or the vehicle or has any information, please call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
