BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Police in Boise say a Wednesday morning altercation between two male employees at a McDonald's restaurant before it opened left one with a serious stab wound to the chest.

Police spokeswoman Lynn Hightower says a man in his 40s stabbed a man in his 20s at about 5:30 a.m. at the restaurant on North Orchard Street and then ran.

The man who received the stab wound was taken to a hospital, and police located the other man at his home a short time later and took him into custody.

Hightower says the man who went home also had injuries and has also been taken for medical treatment.

It's not clear what led to the reported stabbing.
