BOISE, Idaho – Attorney General Lawrence Wasden says investigators arrested a Boise man Wednesday for child exploitation.

Wasden says investigators with his Internet Crimes Against Children unit arrested Steven James Dixon, 28, after receiving a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Investigation of the CyberTip revealed a number of videos and images of underage children had been downloaded and possibly saved.

Dixon is being held in the Ada County Jail and will face five counts of child exploitation.  The investigation is ongoing.

Wasden also praised law enforcement officers from the Boise Police Department, The Department of Homeland Security, and the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for assisting in the arrest.

The Idaho Attorney General's ICAC unit is a coalition of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies that work with the ICAC Task Force to investigate and prosecute individuals who use the Internet to criminally exploit children.
