BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities say a Boise police officer shot and killed a pit bull that attacked a police dog on Tuesday afternoon. Authorities tell KIVI-TV that police arrived at a south Boise neighborhood to serve an arrest warrant at about 1 p.m. Police say they noticed and individual flee out the back door but he was soon detained. Police say that a short time later a pit bull ran out of the house and started attacking a police dog. Police say an officer fired two shots and killed the pit bull.
