BOISE, Idaho (KTVB) – A Colorado woman is facing a felony charge after Boise police say she nearly bit a man's ear off at a local hotel. Around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to the Safari Inn at 1070 West Grove Street for complaints of a loud fight.

When police got on scene they heard yelling coming from third floor room. A male occupant opened the door to let officers in, and that's when they noticed his left ear lobe dangling and nearly severed.

The man also had bit marks on his arm. Police arrested 23-year-old Katrina M. Martinez of Ignacio, Colo., for biting the victim and causing his injuries. Martinez would not cooperate with police and had to be carried to the patrol car. She was taken to the Ada County Jail. She is charged with felony mayhem, misdemeanor battery and resisting and obstructing officers.
