CALDWELL -- Libertarian gubernatorial candidate John Bujak says he has pleaded guilty to contempt for not paying child support.

Bujak tells the Idaho Press-Tribune that he made the plea last week in Canyon County for not paying child support for one month in 2013.

Bujak says the payments are now current.

The newspaper reports it received an anonymous letter concerning the matter.

Bujak says that at the time he was headed into a federal court case and unable to practice law. A jury acquitted him of bankruptcy fraud charges.

Bujak says the anonymous letter is an indication he's gaining momentum in the race against incumbent Republican Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter and Democrat A.J. Balukoff.
