If you've been on the wall about trying out Bungie's Destiny since it came out, we've got some good news for you.

Activision's official Games Blog has announced that Destiny will now be offering a free-trial version. Within this trial version, the player will be able to, "create and evolve a Guardian... and participate in story missions, as well as co-operative and social activities."

If you're wondering where your Guardian is going to go after your free trial is up, the answer is nowhere. If you decide to buy Destiny after playing the free trial, you'll be able to pick up right where your trial left off. Of course, in order for this to happen, you need to stay within the same console family.

There are two ways to upgrade from the free trial to the paid version of Destiny, depending on which console you're using. If you're on a current-gen platform, it's as easy as opening up the digital storefront and downloading the update. On last-gen consoles, you'll have to purchase a copy of Destiny digitally or through retail.

You can download the free trial version of Destiny for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
