Burley Sex Offender Accused of Killing His Wife
BURLEY (KTVB) - A Burley man has been charged in the death of his wife.
The Cassia County Sheriff's Office said they responded to a 911 call on Sept. 6 at a residence at 548 East Hwy. 81 in Burley.
The sheriff's office started a criminal investigation into the death of Melissa Kincaid, 34, of Burley. The Cassia County coroner determined that Melissa Kincaid bled to death.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of her husband, 34-year-old Ron Kincaid Jr. He has been charged with first-degree murder.
Kincaid is a registered sexual offender who was convicted of third-degree rape - sex with someone under the age of 16 - in Klamath County, Ore. in 2001.
Cassia County Sheriff Jay Heward released a statement thanking the law enforcement agencies that helped with the investigation and expressing sympathy for the victim's family.
"This is a tragic event and we do not want to re-victimize the family," he wrote. "The family is in our thoughts. Due to the the sensitivity and nature of this crime, no furthur details will be released by my office."
The suspect is being held in the Cassia County Jail.
