Miniature golf is considered by many to be a family activity. In reality, the hobby is enjoyed by groups of all ages, and people can sometimes get a bit unruly in their language and behavior for several reasons.

I'm not going to lie, I'm a competitive person. I've also been known to sneak beer and wine into courses when playing with my wife and young son. I'm still very polite and patient with those sharing the course around me, and would never do or say anything to ruin another group or family's good time.

The city of Long Beach, which is located 25 miles south of Los Angeles, took steps years ago to make sure families have a good time when playing mini-golf at one of its many courses. There is currently a ban on bad language at city courses, according to information found on the Rodriguez Law Group website. The offense is listed on their Top 8 Weirdest Laws in the State of California list.

Do you think Long Beach got this right as a way to ensure families have a good time?
