Capcom and Dimps Working on New Fighting Game, Possibly Street Fighter V

Capcom is partnering with Dimps once again to make another fighting game. Could it mark the return of the World Warriors?

Gematsu reports that Capcom and Dimps are collaborating to make their next fighting game together. Capcom and Dimps have worked together many times in the past. Their teams both co-developed Street Fighter IV, its numerous re-releases and Street Fighter X Tekken.

“We are recruiting colleagues to work together with us at Dimps studio for new FG,” said Capcom studio producer Yoshinori Ono on his Twitter.

Capcom previously mentioned that it is in the earliest stages of pre-development for making Street Fighter V, which likely means its members are still tossing around ideas with regard to where they want to take its overall story, art direction, major changes and most likely what characters they'd like to bring back.

Dimps consists of previous SNK and Capcom employees and is known for developing the Dragon Ball Z Budokai trilogy on PlayStation 2 along with numerous other DBZ fighting titles. The Japanese developer has also worked with Sonic Team on multiple Sonic the Hedgehog titles for Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance.
