It's a Father's Day weekend and show dad some love by just spending time with him.  There's plenty of options on where to take dad.  From "Man of Steel" to NASCAR racing at Magic Valley Speedway, plus other options inside this article.

This weekend it's all about the tri-fecta: Saturday kicks off Southern Idahos Largest Yard Sale at Kimberly City Park, followed by NASCAR racing Saturday night, then close the Pioneer Club down with live music and NEVER a cover. Sundays are for relaxing in your beautiful back yard.  Enjoy the weekend!  Summer won't be here for long!

I wish I could really pay back our men and women in uniform and the families that support them, but they are way too awesome to ever really do that. All I can do is say thank you for your service.  Thank you for giving me the freedom to do what I love everyday, to vote, to be treated equally....   See it just goes on and on. This weekend is my first wedding anniversary and we plan on ringing in our first year of marriage with some Trekkie love.  There's plenty of other fun things going on in the greater Twin Falls area as well. Happy Weekend!

This week was a blur, but I did NOT forget about Mother's Day (it's this Sunday).  Then again, my mom is out of town, so I have some extra time to make sure her gift is extra special.  Love you Mom!  Happy Mother's Day.

Lots of great things happened this past week, but the one thing that sticks in my mind is the Jerome Main Street fire.  Flames burned down ten families' homes.  It's so very sad, but what I know about this community is, we take care of our neighbors here in the Magic Valley...

Lots to do this weekend: There's a yard sale today at the Twin Falls County Fair Grounds in Filer.  Tonight the Magic Valley Speedway has your NASCAR fix covered.  Finally, all weekend, the College of Southern Idaho is hosting their fifth annual CSI Car Show.

After a week like this, you can't help but question a lot of things.  I encourage you to look at your own life or family or whatever and count all the good things in your life.  I believe that the good will always outweigh the bad.  Be safe...
