Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) – A crash near milepost 162 on I–84 Sunday afternoon sent 5 people to the hospital.

At around 3:50, 39 year old Julieta Olivera of Utah was driving westbound on I-84 when a wheel defect caused her back tire on the driver's side to fall off. She drove off the right side of the road and rolled twice. Sergeant George Oppedyk tells us Olivera had four children passengers in the vehicle between the ages of 10 and 15.

All were transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley with moderate injuries. The Jerome country sheriff's office, Magic Valley paramedics, and Jerome rural fire department all responded. All passengers were wearing their seat-belts at the time of the crash.
