TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – David Christensen, adjunct professor in the history and international business departments at Boise State University, will be the guest speaker at next week’s Herrett Forum on the College of Southern Idaho campus.

The topic of discussion will be “Climate Change and Fossil Fuels: A New Dynamic Emerges,” in which Christensen will  address the pros and cons of these conflicting positions and offer a critical assessment of the recently concluded and signed Paris Accords on Climate Change.

Biographical information from CSI about Christensen, explains that besides his work at BSU he has taught several international business and economics courses at Northwest Nazarene University.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in geology, a master’s in history from the University of Nevada and postgraduate work in African Studies at Stanford. He was in the U.S. Foreign Service for 25 years with assignments at American embassies in Europe, West and Central Africa, Iceland, Australia and Indonesia. He subsequently served as Administrator for International Business for the Idaho Department of Commerce and accompanied Idaho business missions to Eastern Asia, Latin America and Europe.

The forum, which is free to the public, begins at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Herrett Center. Doors open at 7 p.m.
