TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – Are you looking for activities to keep your kids busy this summer? If so, here are a couple of activities that may help.

The University of Idaho Extension Office has several activities planned this summer, including “Fishing in a Day” and “Rockets in a Day.” The activities are geared to help teach participants new skills in a fun, creative way.

Fishing in a Day – July 9
10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This activity takes place at the Twin Falls Livestock Yard. The activity is free, but fishing licenses are required for anyone older than 14. Bring your own tackle, fishing pole and lunch for a fun outdoor activity. Registration deadline is July 5

Rockets in a Day – July 28
9 a.m. to noon

Meet at Tom Parks Pavilion at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds for a sky-high activity of building rockets. You’ll get to launch them two days later at noon on July 30. Cost for this activity is $20, paid for in advance. Registration deadline is July 6.
