Cow Puts Ada Sheriff’s Car Out of Commission

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — An Ada County deputy avoided injury but a patrol car is a total loss after a collision with a cow. Authorities say the collision that occurred at 2 a.m. Monday on Lake Hazel Road killed the cow. Ada County officials say they will seek restitution from the cow's owner for the patrol vehicle. The deputy finished the shift in another vehicle.
