UPDATE: 64-year-old Jason Roberts died from his injuries at the hospital, according to Idaho State Police.

EARLIER STORY:Idaho State Police says 27-year-old Thomas Stowell, of Hagerman, died after he crossed the center line and hit a semitrailer hauling beets this morning. At around 2:21 a.m., Thomas was in a Dodge Ram pulling a horse trailer with a full load of firewood when it hit a truck pulling two trailers of sugar beets driven by Jason Roberts, age 64, of Twin Falls, on Highway 30, just west of Filer. Roberts was not wearing a seat belt and ejected from the truck. ISP says it is not clear if Stowell had been wearing a seat belt. Roberts was taken to St. Luke's Magic Valley in Twin Falls. The crash blocked the highway for seven hours. It is an ongoing investigation by ISP.

EARLIER STORY: FILER, Idaho (KLIX) A crash west of Filer is blocking traffic on Highway 30 at this time. Idaho State Police says the accident is three miles west of Filer and is blocking both lanes of travel between N 1900 E and N 2000 E. The crash happened at roughly 2:45 a.m. More information to come
