WENDELL, Idaho (KLIX) – Crews are still at the scene of a fire that started around noon on Thursday near Wendell.

The Southern Idaho Regional Dispatch Center received a call from a resident at 12:03 p.m. in the vicinity of 2176 East 2952 South, a SIRCOM dispatcher told News Radio 1310. The fire encroached on an unoccupied home. No one has been injured in the blaze.

It did, however, threaten a power pole.

Idaho Power was notified and sent electrical crews to the site. One customer was affected for about 90 minutes, said Idaho Power spokesman Brad Bowlin.

Fire crews from Wendell, Gooding and Shoshone responded. It is still unclear what caused the blaze.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
