SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Kootenai County Sheriff's deputies are investigating after they found a dead body partially submerged in a slough near Hauser Lake.

The Spokesman-Review reports that detectives have described the death as suspicious. The body was found Thursday afternoon after deputies responded to a reported drowning on the west end of Hauser Lake.

Detectives are not releasing further details, such as the victim's gender or approximate age, at this time.
