The New Melones / Parrot's Ferry Bridge spans waters near the community of Columbia, California, which is located 90 miles southeast of Sacramento. The bridge is a familiar sight to me because we have a family home less than 20 miles away, and I've crossed the bridge hundreds of times. The Tuolumne County Animal Control's Facebook page has been updating the story of a dog thought to have been abandoned recently near the bridge.
