TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – Work crews were busy at the site of the future City Hall on Wednesday in downtown Twin Falls.

The former Banner Furniture building, where a modern City Hall will open in 2017, has been gutted; and a large hole remains across the street where the Rogerson Hotel once stood. The latter, when work is complete, will become the site of a community commons area with a splash fountain and where live performances and other events can take place.

City officials have said the 42,000 square-foot City Hall will accommodate the city’s needs for the next 40 to 50 years.

From time to time, we’ll share snapshots on our website of the work being done on the downtown project.
