IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — An eastern Idaho company is filling in an underground parking lot after city officials condemned the structure when a heavy crane fell through

from above. KIFI-TV reports that crews on Wednesday began digging up the Bank of Commerce parking lot in Idaho Falls. Company officials say the space will be filled in and replaced with an above-ground lot, tripling customer parking.

A large crane driving over the parking lot fell through on May 6, hitting one of the cars below. There were no reported injuries. City officials determined that the structure was no longer safe and condemned it. The cost of the new project hasn't been released.
