TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) An Eden man is being charged with vehicular manslaughter following the death his passenger who died in a two-vehicle accident on Memorial Day near Eden.

Jody Dee Neaderhiser, 51 of Eden, was arraigned in Twin Falls County Court Tuesday on the vehicular manslaughter charge following the death of a female passenger, Evette Phillips, 51 of Twin Falls. Police say the two-vehicle accident happened at 3800 East and State Highway 50, about a quarter of a mile south of the Hansen bridge. The accident happened at about 9:57 p.m. and involved two pickup trucks.

Phillips was the passenger in Jody Neaderhiser’s vehicle which was heading northbound on 3800 East. According to court documents, Neaderhiser, failed to yield to a stop sign where the road intersected with highway 50. Phillips succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash. As previously reported by KMVT, Neaderhiser’s vehicle was struck by a pickup westbound in State Highway 50 driven by Trevor Dowd of Twin Falls.
