COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — Firefighters in northern Idaho freed a 79-year-old woman who was trapped underneath her car east of the city of Hayden.

The Kootenai County sheriff's office says the woman parked her 2000 Ford Excursion, but it began rolling backward as she got out. A 17-year-old boy who works for her tried to help, but the car continued rolling and both were pinned under the door.

The boy was able to free himself. He sustained minor injuries.

Firefighters extricated the woman and took her to a hospital. Her injuries were described as "significant," and she may have hypothermia.
