Additional Information

The College of Southern Idaho will offer a class in basic Japanese this fall for the first time in several years. The class became a reality when the college recently found a qualified, full time instructor, Zach Espil, who went to graduate school in Japan.

Elementary Japanese (JAPN 101) is a four-credit class. It will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting Aug. 28. Class finals will be the week of Dec. 17. Students need no pre-requisites to sign up and the class fulfills the general education humanities requirement for degree-seekers. For more information, please contact CSI English Department Chair Whitney Smith at 732-6844 or at wsmith@csi.edu. Inquiries can also be made at the Matrix, located in the Taylor building.
