Soul Food Extravaganza!

Bring a few lawn chairs and a couple blankets, and come to the The Soul Food Extravaganza in Boise! This is an event that is held in Julia Davis Park every first Saturday in August, this year it will be held on the 4th from 11:00am-8:00pm.  It has been going on for 20 plus years.  Also there is no charge unless you want to buy various kinds of soul food (i.e. collard greens, fried okra, fried catfish etc.) or drinks from the 20 plus vendors. There will be stands for people to buy anything from sunglasses to paintings and other nice things. There will be face painting and other things for the kids and also the Boise Zoo is a 2 minute walk away. There will be performers, such as hip hop, reggae, R&B, gospel, and also a few local bands local bands.
