If you answered yes, then it seems you are NOT alone. I too have done this. According to Salary.com:

nearly half -- 46 percent -- of those surveyed said they've spent time job hunting during work hours and on company computers.

I too have looked for a job while at my current job. (NOT This one - this one rocks!)

I'm not really proud of it now that I'm all grown up like. At the time, I hated my job and to be honest, I wanted them to fire me. Believe me I tried and tried, but eventually I got so bored just doing nothing, that I had to do something. Still to this day I can't figure out how my coworker did it. He did nothing, stared at a white wall all day. No thanks.

Long story short, nine months into this job, I was hoping they'd fire me, but instead, they gave me employee of the month. Two weeks later my notice was up and I left to work for a Production Company. Pay was horrible, but the job was awesome.

OK Back to your current job, when it comes to messing around online: Facebooking, online shopping, Snake VIP Clubing, and looking for a different job, do you think that helps productivity or hurts it? Think about all those smoke breaks your smoker friends take?
