LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) — Two former employees of a Lewiston helicopter company have been accused of taking more than $250,000 from their employer.

The Lewiston Tribune reports that a 67-year-old bookkeeper and her 42-year-old son, a former mechanic at Hillcrest Aircraft Co. are each charged with two counts of grand theft by embezzlement.

The mother is accused of charging $87,000 on company credit cards for personal use between 2008 and 2014. She is accused of using company money to travel and collect gift rewards. The son is accused if illegally obtaining insurance through Hillcrest and charging money on fuel and credit cards.

The two Lewiston residents are scheduled for preliminary hearings April 13 in Nez Perce County Magistrate Court.
