BOISE, Idaho (KTVB) - Ceremonies were held across the Treasure Valley today to mark the anniversary of the September 11th attacks. capital

One of them honored the lives of Idaho men and women who have died fighting the global war on terrorism. The Idaho Fallen Soldier Memorial, in front of the old Ada County Courthouse, is where the names of the 67 men and women who have died are engraved. One name was added today to honor an Idahoan who paid the ultimate price. Captain David Lyon was killed back in December.

His vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device. The 28-year-old from Sandpoint was a five-year veteran of the Air Force. His family was presented with a plaque and a copy of the engraving of his name now on the Idaho Fallen Soldier Memorial.
