Family Reopens Shoshone Missing Toddler Case

SHOSHONE, Idaho (AP) — Exactly 18 years ago, 2½-year-old Ruben Felix disappeared.

The toddler was last seen drinking his bottle on his family's front porch in Shoshone, Idaho, and he apparently vanished when his step-father momentarily stepped inside.

Now the child's aunt, Steaphanie Felix, tells The Times-News that his family is reviewing the case file for the first time.

Felix says Lincoln County authorities have given the family permission to review the case file to see if there is anything investigators missed.

Felix says Ruben would be 20 years old now, and his family still holds out hope that he'll be found alive.
