Fatal Frame 5: The Black-Haired Shrine Maiden Trailer: I Ain’t ‘Fraid Of No Ghosts…Wait Yes I Am
Fatal Frame fans are eagerly awaiting the next installment in Japan, and a new trailer from Koei Tecmo should do nothing to quell that excitement. It's moody, it's scary, and it's exactly what Fatal Frame fans want.
The trailer for Fatal Frame 5: The Black-Haired Shrine Maiden shows our heroine trudging through a dark and spooky wooded area, winds howling around her and nothing but a small flashlight to guide her. We see her shine light down a path, only for a shadowy figure to appear and walk down the path in front of her. Is that a guide or an omen? We don't know, but either way, we're none too happy about it.
The scene then moves to a secluded and scary wooden building that seems to be flooded. Nothing can go wrong here, right? Everything will be A-OK as long as we keep our wits about us NOPE. THERE'S A GHOST ARM IN THE WALL AND A FACE ON THE GAMEPAD SCREEN! RUN! GET OUT OF THERE!
In all honesty, using the GamePad as the camera in this Fatal Frame is genius and we hope this game makes it over to the States. If not, we'll have to import a Japanese Wii U, and we'll do it if it's the only way to have Fatal Frame V scare the hell out of us.
Fatal Frame V: The Black-Haired Shrine Maiden launches Sept. 27 for Wii U in Japan.
Japanese ghosts might be pretty scary, but so are the 5 Creepiest Moments in Resident Evil!
