Feds Want To Use Idaho As Possible Nuclear Waste Dump
The Seattle Times reported some great news. The Feds are allegedly considering making Idaho a destination for nuclear waste. I've seen enough movies to know that this normally doesn't end well for the place that has the nuclear waste.
Here are the details of what the government has in mind for us.
The U.S. Department of Energy lists the Idaho National Laboratory as a possible site for storing about 1,300 dump truck loads of low level radioactive waste.
This inspired me to look up exactly how far that 1,300 dump truck loads of glowing stuff would be from Twin Falls. The answer? Too close.
What do you think? Excited about the idea of certain Idahoans potentially glowing in the dark? Or, no big deal to you?
