HAZELTON, Id. (KMVT/KSVT) UPDATE: Search crews found the body of the driver in the pond at about 4 p.m. Next of kin cannot be reached. Authorities anticipate releasing the name of the driver Wednesday.

PREVIOUS UPDATE: Crews recovered the truck about noon, but had not found the driver. The window of the truck was open and crews continued to search the pond and surrounding area for the driver.

Crews are working to retrieve a cattle feed truck and possibly the worker found submerged in a pond near a Hazelton dairy. The driver of truck was last in contact with the dairy at about 5:30 Tuesday morning. A search began for the worker when he did not arrive at his destination at about 6:30 a.m. Minidoka County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Dive team are at the scene. Monday’s warm temperature likely contributed to more than expected snow melt off which may have contributed to the conditions of the accident. The truck is expected to be retrieved soon. Until next of kin are notified, the name of the victim will not be released.
