Fire Chars Twin Falls Garage

TWIN FALLS, Id. ( KMVT / KSVT ) Twin Falls firefighters were called to the scene of a structure fire late Monday morning.

A detached garage was heavily damaged at 420 5th Avenue East. The call for assistance was made at 11:33 A.M. When crews arrived a large amount of smoke was billowing from a detached garage.

Later, officials say, flames could be seen by witnesses. The blaze then extended to a nearby home where the fire damaged a portion of the home’s attic and under the eaves.

Traffic was blocked on Ketchum and 5th avenue for a short time while the firefighters worked to control the fire. The crews battled the blaze for about 15 minutes and were on the scene for about a half hour. No injuries were reported by authorities.
