Former Idaho Prison Employee Charged with Having Sex with Inmate

EAGLE, Idaho (KTVB)- A former employee of the Idaho Department of Corrections has been charged with a felony after investigators say she had sex with an inmate several times in August. Ann Marie Young, 40, was arrested Sunday morning. The Ada County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation in late August, after being contacted by IDOC officials. According to investigators, Young and a 31-year-old male inmate had sexual contact multiple times inside a staff-only bathroom at the Idaho State Correctional Institution in Kuna. A warrant was issued for Young's arrest Thursday.

She was booked into the Ada County Jail and charged with a felony count of sexual contact with a prisoner, but is currently free on a $20,000 bond. If convicted, Young could face up to life in prison. She is scheduled to appear in court Friday morning.
