Roger Thompson is very blessed to be alive. He was hurt in a tragic hunting accident on Sunday, October 23 and now his friends are seeking help with his medical bills.

Roger was deer hunting when his rifle discharged into his leg damaging one of the two main arteries. He knew he was in trouble as he was 5 miles from the nearest road and had to crawl for help.

Thankfully, Roger was found by cowboys on horses who were able to get him to safety.

He nearly died from loss of blood, but was flown to Portneuf Medical Center and eventually the University of Utah where surgeons were able to save his life, but not his foot and lower leg.

Friends have set up a Go Fund Me page trying to raise $10,000 to help cover Roger's medical expenses as he has no insurance to assist.
