BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is inviting all anglers, novice to veteran, to cast their line in Idaho without a license on June 13. The agency is particularly encouraging parents to bring their children out for Free Fishing Day, perhaps sparking an early interest in fishing. Don't have a pole? The department is providing equipment and fishing experts in select locations in southwestern Idaho. All other fishing rules, such as tackle restrictions, season opening dates and fish limits, will remain in effect.

For more information on locations and other events taking place on Free Fish Day, contact the department's McCall office at 208-634-8137 or the Nampa office at 208-465-8465.
