I've been fortunate to get to visit many parts of Idaho since my family moved here. But, there is one part of the state that I haven't seen that is on my bucket list. That destination is Hell's Canyon.

One of the barriers to my Hell's Canyon wish trip is the hefty drive it takes to get there. It's a solid 6-hour drive on a good day.

So, what's the big deal about Hell's Canyon? For starters, it's the deepest river gorge in North America. I'm a sucker for rivers with huge and high canyon walls.

But, the biggest desire I have is to raft that part of the Snake River. I haven't canoed since I was a Boy Scout back in the 1970's. Yes, it's been that long. I've watched many videos of Hell's Canyon rafting and it's jaw-dropping to me.

Have you journeyed to Hell's Canyon Wilderness Area? If so, share and I'll vicariously live through you until I can do it myself.
