My family has rarely had a vacation. I'm so accustomed to being a radio guy, I have a hard time not being on the radio. But, for the first time in many years, I took a break. My wife has wanted to go to Glacier National Park as long as I have known her. So, we went and it was a great choice.

Making the trip to Glacier from Twin Falls is not for the faint of heart. We made it in roughly 9 hours with a few stops in Butte and Missoula, Montana along the way. After a very brief night of sleep - sorta - in a motel that was terrifyingly short on toilet paper, we got an early morning jump entering the park

We traversed the staggering beauty of the world-famous Going To The Sun Road. It spans nearly 50 miles from West Glacier to St. Mary, Montana and is host to probably the most beautiful scenery this side of Heaven.

The pictures tell most of the story. We did see a Grizzly bear near the end of our journey through Glacier. I'm not sure if it was a boy or a girl bear. In my opinion, if you can tell the gender of the bear, you're too close. Fortunately for us, the bear was only interested in berries.

Truth is, the pictures don't do it justice. If you've never made the trek to Glacier National Park, do it. Human words just aren't sufficient to describe it.
