JEROME, Idaho (KLIX) – Heritage Academy is closing early today due a waterline break at the school.

Most of the students were sent home at 1:45 p.m., said para-teacher Nancy Cornwell, but some students were still at the school because they could not reach their parents.

Parent-teacher conferences were scheduled for this evening, but Cornwell said they might have to be postponed. Repair crews are at the school now.

School is out until next Tuesday due to the conferences and an in-service meeting.

"So we have some time to fix it," she said.
