HEYBURN, Idaho (KLIX) A southern Idaho man is facing charges of drug trafficking after being arrested earlier in August.

According to the office of U.S. Attorney Wendy Olson, Jesus R. Perez-Martinez, 59, of Heyburn, was taken into custody on August 3 and arraigned Monday in federal court. Perez-Martinez is facing charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. He is also charged with possession of cocaine and distribution of it.

The indictment allege the events happened from June 2015 to February 2016. The case is being investigated by the Idaho State Police and the Minidoka-Cassia Counties Drug Task Force.
